Coriander Chutney (Kothhimeera Pachhadi)


Ingredients :
  • Coriander leaves – 1 cup
  • Coconut gratings – 3 tbsps
  • Green chillies – 3 no’s
  • Ginger – 1 teaspoon, cut into pieces
  • Garlic – 1 teaspoon, cut into pieces, optional
  • Small Onion – 6 no’s, optional
  • Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
For Tadka/Popu/Talimpu :
  • Mustard Seeds – ½ teaspoon
  • Oil – 1 teaspoon
Preparation Method :
  1. Clean and wash the coriander leaves, green chillies and chop it.
  2. Grind all the ingredients in a mixer by adding little water.
  3. Heat oil in a small pan and add mustard seeds, once it stops spluttering pour it over the chutney.
  4. Serve with Idly/Dosa/Rice.
Variations :
  1. Big onions can be used if small onions are not available.
  2. Use tamarind for tanginess instead of lemon juice.
