Seasame Laddoo (Nuvvula Laddu)

Ingredients :

Sesame : 1/4 kg
Jaggery : 1/4 kg
Water   : 2 Cups
Ghee     : 3-4 T spoons

Preparation :

1. Wash Sesame and soak it overnight. 
2. Then remove the Water completely and make sure that its dried thoroughly (it can also be spread on a cloth). 
3. Fry the Sesame golden brown without oil.
4.  Cut the Jaggery into pieces and add 2 cups of Water to make a paste.
5.  Add sesame and mix it well. Add Ghee to the mixture, then let it cool down till you can form small balls out of the mixture. 
6. In cold storage they last up to 2 weeks.

Purpose :

Sesame is a Good source of Manganese and Copper as well as Calcium, Magnesium, Ironm Phosporus, Vitamin B1, Zinc and high in Dietary Fiber. It has Cholesterol-lowering effects and prevents BP.
