Tomato Dal / Pappu Tamata Recipe


Ingredients :

Toor Dal / Red Gram Dal - 1 Cup
Green Chily - 10
Tomatos - 6
Cut into Pieces
Turmeric - 1/4 Tsp
Salt - To Taste

Popu Ingredients :

Mustard Seeds
Cumin Seeds
Curry Leaves
Garlic Pods
Red Chily
Hing - 1 Pinch (optional)
Oil - 2 Tsp

Preparation Process :

1. Take dal into a Pan fry for 3-4 Min. Until Light Brown. Now Take a Cooker add Dal and required Water Soak for 30 Minutes.

2. Now add Sliced Green Chilies, Tomatos, and Turmeric. Mix Well with Spatula.

3. Keep  Cooker into a Flame Upto 3 - 4 Whistles. Remove From Flame. After Add Required Salt and Mash the Dal. Keep aside.

4. Take a Pan add Oil after add Garlic Pods,  Cumin, Mustard Seeds (after Splutter) add Curry Leaves and Red Chilies. Then add Hing if You Want.

5. Add Mashed Dal into Popu Then Turn Off the Stove. Remove From Flame.

* Tasty Tomato Dal is ready. Combined with Chapathi, Roti or Hot Rice.
